It was 2015, and our founder, Prachi Gautam, found herself searching for devotional products that truly felt sacred — items that carried the warmth of tradition rather than the cold stamp of mass production. What she found instead were shelves full of items that were either poorly made, unverified in their authenticity, or priced far beyond what an ordinary devotee could afford.

Determined to change this, Prachi began a personal journey across India's most sacred corners — from the ghats of Varanasi, where idols and rudraksha malas have been crafted for centuries, to the temples of Vrindavan, where the fragrance of fresh flowers and incense never fades, and the artisan workshops of Rajasthan, known for their intricate brass and wood craftsmanship.

Along the way, she met families of artisans who had been pursuing this sacred craft for generations, often unseen and underappreciated. She also connected with learned pandits and Vedic scholars who understood not just how an item is made, but why it matters — its place in rituals, its symbolism, and the blessings it is meant to carry into a home.

From these connections, Omvatika was born — not as just another online store, but as a bridge between devotees and the artisans and traditions that have kept India's spiritual heritage alive. Every product we offer is sourced with care, checked for authenticity, and where appropriate, blessed by our panel of Vedic advisors before it reaches your home.

Over the years, what began as one woman's quest for an authentic diya has grown into a trusted name for thousands of families across India. Today, Omvatika works closely with 50+ artisan families and a dedicated panel of Vedic pandits, staying true to the same values we started with in 2015: faith, authenticity, and seva (selfless service) to every devotee who places their trust in us.
